Lawn Mower Accident
Today, at 1:05pm, crews were called out for a lawn mower accident with entrapment in the 23-01 box. Squad 23 (with 3) and Engine 23 (with 2) responded along with Chief 223 and Chief 23. Chief 223 arrived on scene and advised the Squad that the air bags would be needed to help extricate the patient from under the lawn mower. Prior to Squad arrival, crews on scene were able to extricate the patient. Squad and Engine crews assisted EMS with patient care. Company 23 went available at 1:29pm.
VFIS Traffic Incident Management Class
This evening, UAFD hosted a VFIS Traffic Incident Management class. This class is designed for any and all first responders who respond to roadway incidents. Thank you to the Upper Allen Township Police Department, Monroe Fire Company, Penn State Life Lion EMS, Linglestown Fire Company, and Yellow Breeches EMS, Inc. for joining us!
Wednesday Training: SCBA Air Packs
With our new SCBA air packs going into service soon, we wanted to make sure our members got enough time to play with the packs. We set up a maze in the bay for the crew to crawl through and get familiar with the packs.
